OUR
PASTOR
Rev. Marshall was born in Frankfort am Main,
Germany. He grew up in New Jersey, West Virginia, Pennsylvania,
Indiana, and Louisiana. He graduated from high school in Shreveport,
LA in 1974. He attended Concordia College in Austin, TX, graduating
from there with an AA degree. He continued his education at Centenary
College in Shreveport where he received a BA in Sociology in 1978.
Pastor Marshall then began his seminary studies at Concordia Seminary in
St. Louis, MO.
He served his vicarage at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kirkland Lake and
Zion Lutheran Church in Wabewawa, Ontario Canada from 1980-81. He
completed his studies and graduated in May of 1982 in St. Louis. He
was ordained in June 1982 and installed in August of 1982 in his first
parishes, Faith Lutheran Church of Dunnville, and St. Matthews Lutheran
Church of Smithville, Ontario. He has also served as pastor of
parishes in Texas and Wisconsin before accepting the call to Faith Lutheran
in Union City.
Pastor Marshall has also served as an Army National Guard Chaplain for 11
years, the co-chairman of the Gilmanton Schools Human Growth and
Development Committee, newsletter editor for the West-Central Wisconsin's
Lutherans for Life Chapter, and also for the state chapter. Since
1998, he has served as the vice-president of the Wisconsin Chapter of
Lutherans for Life and since 1999 he has served as the chapter's spiritual
advisor. He has also served on the LCMS North Wisconsin District
Technology Committee.
Pastor
Marshall came to Faith Lutheran in April of 2000. Since that time he has been serving as
the Pastoral Advisor for the Paducah Zone LWML. Recently he became a part-time Chaplain
for the local Tyson Food Plant.
